2 Days Left – Share Your Views On
Water And Wastewater Company Performance
|
|
|
There are only 2 days left to complete our annual, highly anticipated survey, which gives supply chain companies the opportunity to provide feedback on how water and wastewater companies have performed over the past 12 months.
We ask contractors, consultants, and suppliers to rate their clients’ performance in 12 areas, including innovation, professionalism, contractual approach, and communication. This year, the questionnaire has been refreshed to reflect areas where water companies are particularly keen to hear feedback from the supply chain.
This survey is especially important as the water sector across the UK moves forward with new investment periods and delivery programmes.
The survey is open to both British Water members and non-members.
Your input supports the regular feedback we provide to key industry stakeholders on behalf of the supply chain.
Kind regards,
Lila Thompson
Chief Executive Officer
The deadline for completing this survey is
17.00, Friday 11 July 2025

How To Attract Young Diverse Talent
|
|
|
Listen to our latest podcast episode, 'How to Attract Young Diverse Talent’, featuring an inspiring conversation with James Adeleke, Founder and CEO of Generation Success. James shares a particularly telling moment from his own life:
“We have a 2 1/2 year old boy and when me and my wife were thinking about what do we name him? We asked ourselves, should we name him a Western-sounding name or a traditional-sounding name ? And the key question behind that was would society progress enough so that if an employer saw his name on an application form, he would not be disadvantaged?”
James Adeleke, Founder and CEO, Generation Success.
He challenges us with a vital question: “How committed are we to change?”
This episode offers practical insights for shaping the water sector into a more inclusive and socially mobile environment. What you will hear in this episode:
-
Open Your Doors Day: Taking actionable steps, not just making promises.
-
Recognising Hidden Talent: Initiatives to spotlight the achievements of apprentices from diverse backgrounds.
-
Collaborative Efforts: The challenge of attracting diverse talent is not one to be faced alone.
-
Demonstrating Social Value: Highlighting our sector's contributions can enhance its reputation and attract purpose-driven individuals.
-
Addressing Systemic Bias: James shared personal experiences of microaggressions, underscoring the importance of acknowledging and addressing biases to create a truly inclusive environment.
