People, Process, and Organisational Drivers in Water Focus Group

A workshop is being held to explore the potential for a new British Water Focus Group centred on the role of people, process, and organisational drivers in addressing key challenges across the water sector.

The proposed group would provide a forum for collaboration across the industry - bringing together water companies, consultancies, contractors, technology providers, and regulators - to share experiences, insights, and approaches. Areas of focus are expected to include workforce management, operational efficiency, innovation, sustainability, and customer engagement.
The group's aim is to explore how aligning people and organisational drivers can help tackle key challenges in the water sector, driving positive change and unlocking efficiency across the sector.

The goals of the focus group are outlined below and we anticipate task and finish groups will be borne out of the forum discussions;

1. Best Practice Exchange: Provide a platform to learn from one another about how to tackle specific challenges for example in: workforce management, skills shortages, operational efficiency, and innovation.

2. Cross-sector Collaboration: Bring together leaders from water companies, consultancies, contractors, technology providers, and regulators to co-create solutions to common challenges.

3. Pilot initiatives that address specific challenges like sustainability, skills training and customer engagement.

The forum's first session will gauge interest in the group and help shape its future direction and priorities. We look forward to your participation in this new forum.
