Performance Survey Results

A strong performance on following policy, sustainability, communication, and contractual approach means Scottish Water has risen to the top of the 2025 annual water company survey carried out by leading trade association British Water which reviews combined water and wastewater companies against 12 key performance areas.
British Water’s annual UK Water Company Performance Survey asks contractors, consultants and suppliers to rate their clients’ performance in 12 areas, including professionalism, contractual approach and communication over the last 12 months.

Energy & Utility Skills
has been working with over 50 Chief Executives who have made a commitment towards improving equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) within the sector. This commitment and the actions being taken, are monitored through the Inclusion Measurement Framework and then published in an annual report demonstrating the equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) across the energy and utilities sector.

WIF Welcomes Non-Executive Director
To The WIF Board
|

|
The WIF Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Beth Gibb from Additive Catchments as a non-executive director on the WIF Board.
Beth has joined the Board as an early-career professional for a 12-month term. This is the second year that WIF has provided all participants in the WIF Team Challenge the opportunity to apply for a 12-month term as a non-executive director on the WIF Board.
The
annual WIF Team Challenge
offers an opportunity for young professionals from different British Water member organisations to work together in multi-stakeholder teams to work on a specific cross-sector challenge.

Beth Gibb,
Project Manager, Additive Catchments
|
|
|
At Additive Catchments, Beth leads an industry pilot study monitoring combined sewer overflow, to support compliance with the Environment Act. Working closely with department heads and ecosystem partners,her role also includes wider contributions to business strategy, governance processes, stakeholder engagement, and innovation programmes within the organisation. Alongside her professional role, Beth is studying Wildlife Ecology and Conservation Science at the University of the West of England, further strengthening her ability to connect industry practice with scientific and environmental insights. From her background in farming, Beth also brings a valuable perspective on enhancing collaboration between agriculture, land management, and the water sector. Her ability to apply balanced decision making and create constructive dialogue through deep listening,is strengthened by her experience as a trained Mental Health First Aider.
In her new role at WIF, Beth looks forward to contributing her experience and perspective to cross-sector conversations and supporting the Forum’s mission to help shape a sustainable and resilient future for the water industry.
