how much is the membership subscription?

Membership subscriptions are calculated on declared water-related turnover (excluding civil engineering). Subscriptions are payable on a pro-rata basis upon joining British Water and annually thereafter at the beginning of the British Water financial year from 1st April. The definition of water-related turnover is all work relating to water supply, treatment and distribution; waste water collection and treatment; sludge processing; quality management of freshwaters and their impact on near-coastal waters; the preservation and restoration of the water environment and water-related eco-systems. If more than one company within a group are members of British Water, at the same time, then each member is eligible for a 20% discount.

British Water offers a special rate for Start-ups (a business in the initial stages of operations) and Sole Traders of £693 plus VAT. The package offers access to full British Water membership.

A £150 set-up fee applies (exc start-ups).
