A new Ecosystem Guide, designed to complement the UK 2050 Water Innovation Strategy, has launched. The guide has been created for the UK and Ireland water sector to help innovators navigate, connect and collaborate more effectively.

As custodians of the UK 2050 Water Innovation Strategy, Spring has worked with the sector to produce this guide as a practical tool to support collective progress on innovation.

The original Water Innovation Strategy provided a valuable foundation for understanding who plays a role in water innovation. This updated guide builds on that, focusing on how innovation actually happens and the vibrant ecosystem that helps ideas move from concept to adoption.

It defines six key functions that underpin the innovation ecosystem, showing how these functions interact to provide a clearer picture of who’s involved, how they contribute and where collaboration can make the biggest impact. The guide is designed to help innovators find the right support at the right time.
