Energy & Utility Skills: Help Shape National Standards And Scottish Qualifications For Water

National Occupational Standards (NOS) review Energy & Utility Skills invites employers, training providers and professional bodies to review the revised Water Leakage and Detection Control National Occupational Standards (NOS). NOS describe what an individual needs to do and needs to know to perform a work activity, including the skills, knowledge and understanding required. They are applicable across the UK and can be used in the development of in-house training programmes, plus they are a key component for qualifications and apprenticeship frameworks in the devolved nations. With support and input from industry stakeholders, the Water Leakage and Detection Control NOS suite has been updated to ensure they reflect current working practices within the industry. Get Involved Following a series of industry workshops to draft the revised NOS units, stakeholders from across the UK are invited to review and comment on the NOS to ensure they reflect industry best practice. Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQs) are work-based qualifications which guarantee that someone can do their job well and to the national standards for their sector.
