Report Title: Circular economy - water treatment sludges

Abstract:

About 115,000 tds of sludge is produced per year. This project assesses the marketplace for water treatment sludges, including understanding contaminants and the scale of the opportunity. The applications and markets for sludges were reviewed and economically analysed for the UK and Ireland. Data was also gathered on the volume and composition of sludges, as well as analysis of the regulatory challenges in the recovery of water treatment sludge.
