50L Home Coalition - A Roadmap to Operationalize the Water-Energy-Carbon Nexus for Homes

The paper, released by the 50L Home Coalition, outlines a detailed roadmap for action with a focus on implementation. Based on a pilot project conducted in Los Angeles, the team gathered and analyzed real-world data on residential water usage and the energy required to heat it. Following this, homes were retrofitted with water and energy-saving appliances, fixtures, and products, and feedback was collected to assess consumer experiences. Additionally, the project included an analysis of relevant policies and regulations to identify opportunities for scalable improvements.
