Salary & Benefits:  £33,992- £42,489 per annum dependent on experience + pension (with up to 10% employer contribution) + performance bonus + 25 days holiday + wellbeing day & 8 Bank Holidays + retail savings scheme

Location:  Bradford (hybrid working, one to two days per week in the office)

 We are currently looking for a Costing and Modelling Analyst to join our Costing and Modelling Team who specialise in cost modelling and estimation. This is an exciting and challenging role, working at the leading edge of the water industry, helping to secure funding for future investment and ensuring robust cost and carbon footprint assessments are undertaken during the lifecycle of projects in the Capital Programme.

You will be joining our Costing and Modelling Team, whose role is to:

o    Capture, manage and process data from capital delivery schemes used to develop our own suite of cost and carbon models
o    Develop and maintain a suite of statistically based models covering: Capital Costs (clean and waste), embodied carbon, YW On-cost, Durations and S curves
o    Ensure accurate deployment of models within both Capital Delivery and Investment Planning (PR24 & beyond)
o    Provide support to Capital Delivery, Commercial Services and Investment Planning on best practice implementation of project costing and data capture. 
o    Actively support business planning activities

You will be expected to develop your skillset and experience by working closely with the rest of the team, to progress and develop further in the role, particularly cost modelling and costing analytics.

What will the role involve?

 As our Costing and Modelling Analyst, you will be delivering day to day project cost estimation activities to support the costing function (within the Cost and Modelling team) whilst also supporting improvements to the wider project lifecycle process across capital delivery.

You will:

•    Provide cost and carbon estimates to influence decision making on multi million pound capital schemes.
•    Support our Partnership for Yorkshire (P4Y) and Investment Planning teams to accurately develop and assure project costs as part of the capital delivery programme.
•    Support the data capture process and development of our suite of cost and carbon models.
•    Contribute to systems development to ensure that corporate systems continue to be aligned with capital investment requirements.
•    Review and support the deployment of new assets and technologies on our capital projects (including site visits).
•    Be able to influence the modelling approach and our statistical methodology.

Knowledge and Skills Required - 

Essential:

Our Costing and Modelling Analyst will have a keen interest in water/wastewater treatment. You will also:

•    Be a strong communicator, with excellent engagement skills, able to influence stakeholders across multiple departments.
•    Qualified to degree level or equivalent experience in a science/ technical/ engineering/ maths related role.
•    Possess strong financial and commercial acumen, with a solid understanding of asset delivery principles. 
•    Demonstrate strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately and efficiently with large volumes of data.
•    Be a confident user of Excel for data input, calculations and analysis.
•    Have a high standard of integrity and ethics
