About the job
Job summary:
The Department for International Trade works to secure UK and global prosperity by promoting and supporting trade and investment and championing free trade. DIT has an essential role to play in boosting trade and investment with regions across the globe and ensure economic benefit is shared across all regions and nations of the UK.
The UK water industry has a strong global reputation. World class consultants supported by a strong UK supply chain, and robust regulatory framework have led to the UK being recognised as a world leader in global business adaptation to climate change in the water sector. The UK water sector offers specialist technology providers and world class capabilities in the supply of tailored and integrated water solutions.
Global pressures including population growth and climate change are forcing water companies and the wider industry to adapt and invest significantly in water supply and wastewater treatment. This presents huge opportunities for UK firms to market goods and services domestically to water companies and industrial clients and to also export knowledge, technology and planning skills.
The role directly supports the delivery of the Infrastructure team’s trade and investment outcomes, requiring engagement across DIT’s UK and International networks and with policy leads across Whitehall.
