The WIF Multi-Capitals Network inaugural workshop will be held at Yorkshire Water’s offices in Leeds on Monday 19 September 2022. Following the launch of the WIF paper, ’Driving best value decision making within the water industry using a multi-capitals approach’ in June 2022, the Multi-Capitals Network (MCN) was formed, with the aim of driving a multi-capitals approach, to realise a greater value from the water industry in the UK through thought leadership, influencing and co-creating solutions (the paper was developed through a collaborative process with representatives from a wide range of water companies, CC Water and Ofwat, with support from Atkins). The MCN is a cross-sector group for those involved in the UK water sector, with an interest in growing environmental and social value through a multi-capitals approach. We aim to have a membership which is reflective of the sector, including representatives from water companies, regulators, consultants, suppliers and other relevant bodies. The objectives of the MCN are to promote an understanding of the relevance of a multi-capitals approach and to ultimately build capability in the sector around value-based decision making. This meeting is now at capacity but anyone interested in joining the network and participating in future activities may register their interest by completing a short online form, here.
