International Forum

Home > how we do it > International Forum

The International Forum (IF) offers members of British Water who are active or interested in international trade, the opportunity to network, exchange knowledge and advice and learn of the latest developments and projects in overseas markets.  Members are advised of UK Trade & Investment planned activities and are able to influence policy and drive British Water international initiatives.

Information
Members of the IF receive timely notices of business opportunities, seminars and conferences and details of specific issues that can be addressed to ease barriers to trade.

Meetings
The Forum meets three times a year as does the Specialist Suppliers Group  (SSG) which is a working group aimed at providing specific market and project advice to specialist suppliers, manufacturers, service providers and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Date of next meeting.

Events
British Water also provides a programme of initiatives which include the provision of:

  • Organised overseas visits which enable companies to meet potential business partners such as distributors, contractors, water companies and other key contacts eg representatives from the World Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), EU and overseas government officials
  • Round-table meetings where members get the chance to meet delegations from a variety of markets wishing to be advised of UK developments and latest technologies and
  • Other events, aimed at providing members with details of forthcoming projects and access to decision makers.

Partnering
British Water also works closely with a number of partner organisations to facilitate networking

    • UK Trade & Investment (UKTI)
