WEFTEC - 4-6 October, 2010
New Orleans, USA

The WEFTEC exhibition and conference is the largest water quality event in North America showcasing the latest in water quality research, technology and services. It is a leading source for water quality developments, research, regulations, solutions, and cutting-edge technologies and offers the opportunity to network with thousands of water and wastewater professionals.
Now in its 83rd year, the event attracted 995 exhibitors last year and over 17,000 water professionals. In 2009, the technical program included 122 technical sessions, 31 workshops and 9 facility tours. Of particular interest to attendees was a special session featuring Peter Silva, the new Assistant Administrator for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Office of Water. Mr Silva discussed his priorities for EPA’s water program, the status of stimulus funding for water infrastructure, and the Obama Administration’s agenda for the national water program. WEFTEC is therefore the key event to learn of the latest developments in the US water market and meet key contacts.

WEFTEC is organised by the Water Environment Federation (WEF), a not-for-profit technical and educational organization which has 36,000 individual members and 75 affiliated Member Associations representing water quality professionals around the world. WEF and its Member Associations work to preserve and enhance the global water environment.
