Technical Forum Focus Groups

One of the key ways in which members of British Water can influence and inform industry and the regulators is through the work of its Focus Groups.  Many of these have been set-up by a small group of member companies wishing to address specific issues.  These have been most successful, resulting in published Codes of Practice, seminars, and conferences.

Any member wishing to join an established  Focus Group, or discuss the need for a new one, should contact Ian Bernard, Technical Manager.

Current Focus Groups are as follows:

  • Eczema (EFG)
  • Package Treatment Plant (PTPFG)
  • Pool Water Treatment (PWTFG)
  • Private Water Supplies (PWSFG)
  • Product & Process Approval (PPAFG)
  • Scale & Corrosion (SCFG)
  • Sustainable Drainage Systems (SUDSFG)
  • Wastewater Treatment, Reuse and Recycling (WTRRFG)
  • Sewerage Network Management (SNM)
  • Instrumentation (I)
  • Resource Efficiency and Sustainability (RES)
  • Energy and Water (E&W)
