British Water International Programme sponsors

Dear <<MemberGivenName>>,
We encourage all British Water members to attend our International Forum Main Meetings and SMEs to take advantage of our SME International Group meetings. At last week's IF meeting we had presentations on UKTI High Value Opportunities (HVO) projects in Saudi Arabia; South Africa (mining and AMD); Qatar (Food Security Programme) and Thailand (flood management), each worth over £250m. We also learned about the critical infrastructure demands in Haiti and the challenges of managing the underspent $20m disaster fund. Lila Thompson also reported back to the group on the recent trade mission to Libya and her fact-finding visit to Finland on the mining industry.

British Water is forming a new mining sub-group to help members gain access to the water-related aspects of mining operations in the UK and overseas. The first meeting will be hosted by Mott MacDonald in Cambridge on Tuesday 9th July. If you wish to attend please email lila.thompson@britishwater.co.uk .

Finally, the photos from the Global Water Conference - Catching the Tide are now available to view on the British Water Flickr page .
