SWIG - Sensors For Water Interest Group
'Sensing in Water 2011' Conference Overview
SWIG's first 2-day conference, exhibition and dinner, Sensing in Water 2011, will be held at The Nottingham Belfry Hotel on the 21st and 22nd September 2011.
Our varied programme will cover best practice and new technologies in key aspects of water sensing, based around four half day sessions: Water Monitoring, Managing Risk, Wastewater Monitoring and Data Quality.
We are pleased to welcome Mark Worsfold, Head of Asset Strategy at OFWAT as our keynote speaker on Day 2 (our keynote speaker on Day 1 will be confirmed soon).
The full programme can be viewed here.
Come and network with suppliers, consultants, end-users and researchers in the field of water sensing; visit our dedicated exhibition area to see the latest instrumentation and discuss your specific monitoring needs.
Attend our conference dinner for more relaxed networking in the evening.  Three courses, including wine and an after dinner speaker.

Conference Preview - in July W&WT
Raise you company profile in our Conference Preview!
Act now - deadline is end of June!

SWIG is teaming up with W&WT – the leading publication in the Water and Wastewater industry – to produce a special feature in the July issue, previewing and highlighting the conference to the whole of the UK Water industry.
This feature will give the event over a month’s exposure in W&WT to the water and wastewater marketplace before the event. The Preview will also be distributed digitally and will be circulated to all delegates in hard copy format at the conference itself.
Exhibitors will get a free listing, with 50 words about your company (words need to be submitted by 20th June).  Advertising space deadline is 30th June.
We have negotiated special advertising rates for our members to be a part of this feature.  Further information here.  Or contact Judith Eastham on 0161 903 1515 or 0789 4011 450 judith.eastham@fav-house.com.

Exhibition Opportunities
The exhibition area will be located adjacent to the seminar room, taking 25-30 table top displays. The conference programme will allow plenty of time for browsing the exhibitor stands. The layout of this area will be determined by the number of tables booked and allocated in August in the order that bookings were made.  A 6ft table will be available for each exhibitor, with plenty of space for banners and equipment around each stand.
Our conference takes place in the Admiralty Suite - see The Nottingham Belfry ground floor plan here.  Seminars will be held in the Nelson room and the exhibition will be in the Hardy/Victory/Marlborough area (as one big room, with partitions removed). All catering will be served in this area to maximize the interaction between delegates and exhibitors.
