Surface Water Drainage

On 9th February British Water held a very successful conference on Surface Water Drainage Systems, “Surface Water – The Sustainability Challenge” . The programme was aimed at Local Authority officers in drainage, planning and related departments, EA and other regulatory authority officers, British Water members from the supply chain and research bodies, and water utility personnel.

The conference outlined current developments of the technologies, available to designers, planners and developers looking for acceptable solutions to surface water drainage for all types of developments, and provided an update on the regulations in force and in development.

The conference was also the platform for the launch of the revised British Water publication “Technical Guidance to proprietary sustainable drainage systems and components – SUDS”. This is a web based publication with web links to more detailed information on the proprietary systems available in sustainable drainage systems toolbox.

British Water members with technologies in the areas of flow control, infiltration, storage and attenuation, and treatment, who would like links to their proprietary products included on the interactive publication.
