Membership of British Water is open to all companies with an involvement with the water industry. Through the association's activities, member companies access information not available elsewhere, receive advance knowledge on developments in the industry and have the opportunity to influence the industry response to government on pertinent issues, particularly in the area of new regulation. British Water provides a forum for members to meet, discuss and influence other organisations eg fellow members, customers, clients, government departments, on issues of particular concern to them.
Applications for membership of the association are considered by the Board of Directors and the whole process from submission of application to welcome letter normally takes no longer than three weeks.
