Environment Agency Procurement

The Environment Agency embarks on a major procurement exercise to put in place suppliers to provide consultancy and other professional services through which we will deliver both flood risk management and environmental programmes.

Engineering and Environmental consultancies and professional service providers are invited to register on-line in order to receive information about the Environment Agency’s next generation of supplier arrangements.

The Environment Agency is embarking on a major procurement exercise to establish a new supplier Framework that will run from April 2013 for a period of four to six years, delivering a range of local projects across England and Wales. The new Framework will also be available for use by other authorities with a flood and coastal risk management responsibility as well as other public bodies and government departments. These arrangements are a way of streamlining the procurement of professional services and public works for the future.

The Environment Agency's new supplier arrangements will establish a Framework for procuring construction, river and coastal engineering design, flood mapping and modelling and a wide range of environmental services.

The spend through the Framework is forecast at £150-220 million per annum, dependant on Government and other sources of funding. The Framework will be advertised in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) shortly and potential suppliers will be invited to express their interest in late 2011.

The project is at an early stage and further decisions on the scope of the arrangements will be taken shortly and announced through the official channels.

If you would like to receive updates regarding progress with the project, please submit your contact details on-line by following the following link to the Environment Agency website:

Submitting your details does not constitute a formal Expression of Interest in our new Framework arrangements. You will be added to our electronic mailing list through which you will receive more detail and instruction in due course. Details for submitting Expressions of Interest will be notified in due course and advertised in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU).
