The 'British Water Innovation Search Engine' is a free service for all British Water members to showcase their innovative products, processes, etc.
In addition, BWise is free for anyone to search for water industry innovations through www.britishwater.co.uk by using its purpose-built engine to search for products, processes, systems, etc through three main categories: Benefits it will bring, What it is, and Where it can be used or applied. By using a simple, common format template, searchers can easily pick out the important information that is needed to be able to understand the innovation and assess its potential.
BWise will be promoted through all British Water activities to bring innovation to the UK and worldwide water industry.
If you are a British Water member company, there are three simple steps to follow to have your innovation(s) included:
- Complete a copy of the innovation template (follow link to view and download) with as much information as possible. You can include as many innovative products, processes or ideas as you wish, but you mush create a separate template for each one. Remember--whatever you put down may be found and seen by anyone using BWise and the internet, so be aware!
- Upload the completed template or templates to your own company website. You can include links to other information, data or media if you wish--it is entirely up to your company!
- Go to the survey and fill in some basic information about the innovation, relevant search criteria to find it, and the URL of where the innovation can be found on your website.
Once the completed form is submitted, British Water will create a link on your company's page on www.britishwater.co.uk that can be found by BWise.
